BINGO WITH NUMBERS

BINGO with Numbers

Aim: To teach and practice numbers, at least 1 to 90, giving to the SS confidence and understanding.

Preparation

Prepare cards with 25 numbers in it. It can be prepared by the Ss or the T. Distribute one card to each Ss.

Procedure

Pre-Teach numbers 1 to 100. T writes the numbers in the board: 1 to 10, 11 to 19, then 20 at the same line 2 and 12, 30 at the same line 3 and 13, etc. T points out the differences between 13 and 30, 14 and 40, etc.

Ss count without looking at the board.

The cards are distributed and T says the numbers loudly. The 1st S to complete a “line”, 5 numbers in a row, shouts “Bingo”.

This S reads the 5 numbers and T checks if they are correct. If they are, this S receives a little gift (it can be a chocolate). As the Ss complete their 5 numbers, T checks and gives them a chocolate. When the 1st S finishes the complete card, a better prize is given and the game is over. During the game, sentences like: Can you repeat, please?, Can you check number ___, please?, Can you speak slowly, please?, are spoken by the Ss.

Ss copy their card numbers and write them in their notebooks.

T monitors and corrects all the notebooks.

Not that easy, fella!

Still trying to find someone to shed some light in....lol!

I feel SO stupid!

If you are blog trained, please send me some info, please!

It was pretty easy!

I was sure it would took me ages to pull out this blog, but it took me, like, 5 minutes tops!
And it's a totally good idea to use it with your students, as they can post photos, pictures and projects, it's really interactive!

For now, that's all, I'll post something later (I'm afraid I'll get hooked on that OMG!)
